A widow of "advancing middle age" who cooks every day in the rectory of Our Lady of Sorrows for the old Monsignor. Even though Father Michaels and Ned eat her meals, too, she is really only cooking for the Monsignor, who has officiated every major event in her life (the last one being her husband's funeral). Unfortunately for Mrs. Ambrosino, the old Monsignor doesn't eat much. She had not always been a religious woman. In fact, she was a bit of a wild child in her younger years. But now, she is very devout and very concerned with the Monsignor's health. She believes his health will improve if he eats her cooking and goes out of her way to prepare tons of food, including many expensive delicacies.
