What does Michael do in the weeks after he and Hanna have their first fight?

Michael caves in and refuses to fight with her again. He constantly surrenders, admits mistakes he didn't make, and takes the blame for things he didn't do. He also doesn't talk to her about it, because that only leads to more fighting. Michael says he wrote several letters to Hanna, but that she didn't react.
