In Chapter 17, how does Michael describe Hanna at her sentencing?

Michael surmises that perhaps Hanna wants to look as if she were in uniform, by wearing a black suit and white blouse. Hanna seems to make everyone believe she had indeed worked for the SS, and that she deserved her sentence because her appearance was so severe. Hanna stands very still and straight, and does not look at Michael or anyone else, but rather simply stares straight ahead.
