Describe Hanna's life, as she tells it to Michael in Chapter 9.

Hanna grew up in a German community in Rumania, and she had come to Berlin at age 16. She got a job working for a factory called Siemens, and then she joined the army when she was 21. Since the end of the war, she had worked in a number of jobs to get by. She is now 36 and has been working as a streetcar conductor for several years.
