What is significant about Max and Leo staying up all night in act 1, scene 5?

Max and Leo have been up all night reading scripts that have been sent to Max's office. It is clear that they have been reading for hours, to the point where Leo is about ready to give up. Max, however, encourages him to keep going, knowing that a terrible script is sure to be awaiting them soon.
