Like many cult movies, the elements that make it so special are organic in nature. All the parts work perfectly without trying too hard. The movie just is. It uses colors, characters, character chemistry, soundtrack, and cinematography more like a tapestry than added on parts. I think the film's warmth and familiarity is what makes it stand the test of time. Watching it over and over is like dawning that warm comfy sweater on a chilly day.
