Edward Tudor, the Prince of Wales, is the son of King Henry VIII, and the future king of England. Edward was born in London on the same day as Tom Canty, and the two boys bear a remarkable physical resemblance. Over the course of the novel, a series of events will lead the boys to be mistaken for each. Edward is described as brave, dignified, strong, and commanding. He has been schooled in the martial arts and has a developed sense of justice.
