Cat, What elements are you referring to when you said "like Kino’s family has to fight against the elements." for the question that I asked earlier titled "Revisit the pages where Kino observes the roosters outside and the ants inside?

Kino's life isn't easy. Living in a little hut, he has to hunt and fish and dive into deep water for the pearls. The weather can be harsh. Basically the elements mean nature.
