Marlowe, the poet, was a rebel in every sense of the word. So, to read this poem on the surface you'd think it was a very fruffy, simplistic ode to love and lovers everywhere. He questions what the difference might be between love and lust, and whether the circumstances are as pristine and innocent as they might seem.
