Who is Mrs. Gustafson?

Mrs. Gustafson is Lily's next-door neighbor. Lilly does not know a lot about her, except that people call her a war bride. She speaks two languages and has lived in Froid since 1945. She dresses more fashionably than the other women in the community and always wears a red belt.
