Miss Reeder creates the Soldiers' Service three days after war is declared to get books to servicemen. They begin collecting books for canteens and field hospitals. Miss Reeder appeals for donations to buy books. As the donations pour in, they create libraries of 50 magazines and 100 books for every regiment.
