After an interview, Odile writes Miss Reeder and thanks her for discussing the job with her. She tells Miss Reeder that the library means more to her than any other place in Paris. Her aunt Caroline introduced her to the library when she was little by taking her to Story Hour. Her aunt encouraged her to study English and helped her fall in love with the library. Odile says that the library is her haven, and she would like to work there and help others find it to be their haven.
