Who is Regina Latham from The Other Side of Dark and what is their importance?

Regina Latham is the assistant district attorney who will prosecute Jarrod at his hearing. She badgers Stacy with questions, trying to anticipate the defense's questions in order to be prepared, but her style of questioning offends Stacy and makes her uncooperative. Detective Markowitz suggests that Mrs. Latham is jealous after Stacy insists the attorney does not like her.
