The Only Good Indians
What is Lewis' life like in Great Falls, Montana in the novel, The Only Good Indians?
.
.
Lewis moved to Great Falls after his marriage to Peta, where the couple lived in a small house and were generally happy, despite their modest means. Over time, however, Lewis began to become mentally unhinged, in part due to the stresses of racial oppression, and in part because of the elk spirit’s influence. After the elk spirit manipulated Lewis into murder, local vigilantes shot and killed Lewis.
