Where does Hester find Miss Rosamond that Sunday she had left her with Dorothy? Why did Miss Rosamond run off?

Hester finds Miss Rosamond outside. A shepherd is carrying her and tells Hester that he found the little girl freezing under a holly tree. Miss Rosamond tells Hester that she left because she saw a little girl outside who beckoned her to come. The little girl brought her to the holly tree where a woman sat crying until she saw Miss Rosamond and she smiled and rocked her to sleep.
