The Ogress and the Orphans
How has Stone-in-the-Glen changed over time in the novel, The Ogress and the Orphans?
.
.
Stone-in-the-Glen was once a very nice place to live with wonderful, caring people, but it is a terrible place by the time this novel takes place. The library, school, and other important buildings burned and were never rebuilt. There is a huge stone in the middle of town that has become surrounded by so much trash that no one remembers the Stone is here. There are still a lot of homes and businesses, but nothing is as nice as it once was. The town features a Center Square which is where the Mayor gives addresses. There is also an area where vendors set up to sell wares on specific days.
