Shao-yu is desribed as abnormally handsome, smart, and successful in everything he does. He is also a humble man, who never sees himself as better than anyone else. He is loyal to the Emperor, and he does not question the authority or power structures of the empire. He also well mannered, though he does tend to drink too much and is often intoxicated.
