The government has reopened the residential schools to house the Indigenous people that they steal. Does this reflect something that could happen in today's society? What measures could be taken to stop this from happening?

I hope not. There is much more awareness about the travesties that took place. The graves of indigenous children have been found in multiple sites of old Canadian residential schools. I think there is more awareness in the general population as well as political will to not let this happen again.
