The Marrow Thieves

Although he is offered a permanent place in Espanola with his father and other members of his group, Frenchie chooses to be with Rose. Based on events of the novel, what do you think of his decision and why do you think the author wanted this for him?

I had to shorten it since the full version was cut off if you're curious here is the full version:

1. Although he is offered a permanent place in Espanola with his father and other members of his group, the ending sees Frenchie choosing to be on the run with his girlfriend Rose. Based on the events of the novel, what do you think of his decision and why do you think the author wanted this for his character?

If anyone could help that would be great!

French chooses Rose because he is in love with her. In doing so, he follows his heart. His decision also supports the theme of family and hope. Rather then retuning to Espanola with his father, he tkaes the opportunity to forge a life and family of his own.
