What happens soon after the family hears of the Count's death in the story, The Marquise of O?

Soon after the hearing the news about the Count's death, the Marquise begins to have bouts of giddiness and nausea. The Marquise makes light of the symptoms, joking with her mother that she had the same symptoms while pregnant with her second daughter.
