What does a wise Chinese man have to say about war in the novel, Manual of the Warrior of Light?

The wise man said that a warrior would gain by convincing his enemy that he will gain little by attacking him, as it will diminish his enthusiasm. He also explains that it is not winning or losing a single battle, but how the war ends. Lastly, a warrior must not be ashamed in feigning weakness even when strong, as it will make an enemy act imprudently and attack too soon.
