Though the book is narrated in the third person, the narrator uses a distinct voice, strongly seen in the heavily narrated scenes, as opposed to the dialogue-driven scenes that move the action forward. A quick, rat-ta-tat tone, like a fast talking newspaper man would use, the narration establishes the novels quick pace through short sentences, heavy with punctuation giving the text breaks almost like a wire message.
