What is Witty Ticcy Ray's disorder? How does it hurt him? How does it benefit him?

Witty Ticcy Ray has Tourette's syndrome which causes him to have violent, debilitating tics that occur every few seconds. It hurts him by making it difficult for him to learn, sit still and interact with other people. His tics also cause him to curse violently which is disrupting his married. It benefits him by helping him to be witty and be a brilliant jazz drummer.
