Meitner is a Jew. Hitler occupies Austria which makes Meitner a German Jew. Her grant is abruptly withdrawn. She flees to Holland on an old passport and continues to Copenhagen and the Bohrs. Bohr finds her a position and the Nobel Foundation provides a grant.
