Who is Dr. John Dee from The Magician and what is their importance?

Dr. John Dee is an immortal who received immortality from a Dark Elder. For this reason, Dee finds himself a servant of this Dark Elder unless he wants to have his immortality taken away. Dee has spent hundreds of years searching for Flamel and the Book of Abraham. Finally Dee has gotten the Book of Abraham, but it is missing the final two pages, the two pages he most needs in order to raise Danu Talis. For this reason, Dee continues to chase Flamel in the hopes of getting these final pages.
