What are the motifs in The Lying Game by Sara Shepard?

Peer pressure is a recurring idea. It seems that Laurel and Sutton are affected by peer pressure in their own ways and that the actions related to peer pressure may have a direct link to Sutton's death. Laurel is impacted by peer pressure because she wants desperately to fit in with Sutton's friends and believes the key to doing so is to be exactly like Sutton. She seeks to live her life like Sutton, trying to fit in with Sutton's friends and participating in the pranks of the Lying Game. She has also mimicked Sutton's room. In Sutton's room, there are displays of pictures that are important to Sutton. Laurel's room has many of the same photos, though Laurel is not in those pictures.
