Leo Valdez from The Lost Hero is the son of Haphaestus the god of the forge. Like his father he is very good with machines and inventing things, he has also the ability to control fire which not all his other Hephaestus siblings have. His mortal mother died in a fire and he blames himself and carries alot of guilt.
