What metaphors are used in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis?

One example of a metaphor in the novel is when Aslan is described as a lion. Aslan metaphorically represents Jesus Christ, and his sacrifice for Edmund is a metaphor for Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.
