How does Erasmus view women?

Erasmus believes that women are inferior. He openly berates both Faith and Myrtle, and both verbally agree with him because it is what they are expected to do. He makes it clear that he values many things above his wife and daughter. At one point, he says that daughters are nothing but a drain on a family's resources and that they can never repay what it costs to raise them.
