After weeks of begging Pete, he finally caved and brought his daughters to the mental institution to visit with their mother even though such visits weren't allowed. Outside, Pete lifted each of his daughter's to their mother's window so she could see them and speak to them for a few moments. Mary was too small to fully see inside the room and was thus jealous of Lecia's intimacy with their mother when Lecia could see the full contents of the room.
