Sallie from The Last Silk Dress is Lettie's daughter. Her father is her master, Hugh Chilmark. This only comes out after Lucien falls for her and starts to teach her how to read. His father then tells Lucine why he and Sallie can't be together (aside from the fact that she's a slave).
