The first act of intimidation would be the bomb that was planted in the newspaper office. The second act of intimidation was the beating of photographer Willy Meek. As a result, Willy is even more determined to investigate and report on the story...... note, he also buys a gun. Thus, he will continue but in a more cautionary fashion.
