Who does Caldonia put in charge of the slaves after Moses runs away?

Caldonia puts Elias in charge of the slaves, a fact that makes Elias feel as though he has gained some power against the overseer who caused the lose of his baby girl. Celeste, however, does not like the idea of Elias being the new overseer.
