Alec, Mark, Trina, and their group head for the Lincoln Building, which had been one of the newest, tallest, and grandest buildings in the City. Alec introduces the group to Alec and Trina, including Lana, with whom Alec has worked for twelve years; Misty, about eighteen; a short, muscular guy whom Misty refers to as the Toad; Darnell; and a 13-year-old kid named Baxter.
