How is the meeting described that Mark and Alec spy on in Chapter 36?

Mark creeps forward and peers in, then tells Alec there are about forty or fifty people inside, all up at the front of the room. Mark and Alec decide to sneak in. A man named Stanley has a man named Bruce take over the meeting. Bruce says they need to get moving quickly before they all lose their minds.
