An example of Italian showmanship gone wrong is the rise to power and ultimate execution of Benito Mussolini. Like di Rienzo, Mussolini was born to humble beginnings but held a firm belief he was destined to bigger things. Mussolini blends his fierce rage with incredible charm in order to rise to the head of the Fascist party in the 1940s. Ultimately Mussolini is executed.
