Who is Mr. Alacran from The House of the Scorpion?

Mr. Alacran is a brutish, vindictive man. He is El Patron's great-grandson and Felicia's husband. The couple has two children, Benito and Steven. At one point, Felicia runs away with Mr. MacGregor, but is soon located and returned to Mr. Alacran by El Patron. Unfortunately, Felicia is pregnant with MacGregor's child.
