Moshe's recurring visions of Moses while he is attempting to build his businesses up in Chicken Hill is a symbol of the connection between his charitable acts and the recommendations of Jewish scripture. In opening his businesses to a more diverse group of individuals, Moshe increasingly comes to embody the ideals of his religion. Furthermore, given that Chona is responsible for Moshe's change of heart on this issue, it is fitting that his first feelings of love for her should be caught up in her decision to relay a parable about Moses to him.
