Who built Hill House?

Hill House was built and designed by Hugh Crain. Crain built the house for his first wife, but she died in an accident at a bend in the driveway before setting eyes on the house. Crain's second wife also died in the house. Crain left the house to his two daughters who subsequently fought over it and its possessions.
