Who is Seven Carter from The Hate You Give?

Seven is Starr's older half-brother. He is also the half-brother of her friend Kenya. Seven attends Williamson with Starr, and he moves back and forth between the Carter home and King and Iesha's house in an attempt to protect his mother and sister from King's abusive behavior.
