Who is Kenya from The Hate You Give?

Kenya is one of Starr's close friends from Garden Heights, as well as Starr's brother Seven's half-sister. Kenya is present at Big D's party at the start of the novel, but she does not witness the shooting. She chastises Starr for leaving her old friends behind when she started school at Williamson, and encourages her to speak out on Khalil's behalf after his death.
