Who is Goon from The Hate You Give?

Goon is a member of the Cedar Grove King Lords. He is hired by Maverick to escort the Carters to the grand jury proceedings as a security measure. At the end of the novel, Goon rescues the kids during the protests when they are choking on tear gas, after which, he drives them to Maverick's store.
