Who is The Well-dressed Ghost from The Great Divorce and what is their importance?

Many of the characters choose to be left out of the holy bright procession because they cannot shed their earthly pain. Although she wears beautiful clothes, the Well-dressed Ghost hides behind trees and foileage because she doesn't want anyone to see her. Her body is transparent because she cannot let go of her vanity. She still cannot accept the shining beautiful bodies of the Bright People.
