Why is Margeret visiting Ayenrm?

Margaret Kochamma is Uncle Chacko’s ex-wife, and the mother of Sophie Mol. She is English, and met Uncle Chacko when he was getting his education in Oxford. Her father owns a bakery and her mother is a milliner’s assistant. When she meets and marries Chacko, she is a waitress, though she eventually becomes a teacher. She divorces Chacko soon after the birth of Sophie and marries Joe. She visits India with Sophie after her husband’s accidental death.
