Who is Luvenia Lewis from The Glory Field and what is their importance?

Luvenia Lewis is Lizzie's granddaughter. Luvenia is sixteen when we first meet her, and she is described as tall and dark-skinned. She dreams of going to colege and living in the city. Though she never makes it to college, she does make it to Chicago, where she open several beauty shops and succeeds in being her own boss.
