What is so interesting about Jeanette Walls ?

Jeannette is a very interesting character. She is bright, articulate, and resilient. Jeannette somehow navigates through poverty and abuse to not only survive but flourish as a writer. Jeannette is able to reconcile her past and see perspective even after years of parental regret.
