Who is Lieutenant General Robert F. Bellmon from The Generals: Brotherhood of War 06 and what is their importance?

Lieutenant General Robert F. Bellmon was the commander of Fort Bragg and the XVIII Airborne Corps. He served in North Africa during World War II and in Korea and commanded a division in Vietnam. Bellmon died of cancer in 1976 after retiring from the Army.
