Who is E. Franklin Frazier and why does the author cite him in "My Dungeon Shook"?

E. Franklin Frazier was an American sociologist and author. He wrote the 1932 book The Negro Family in the United States. James Baldwin cites him in "My Dungeon Shook" in describing the black man's emigration from the land to what Frazier called "the cities of destruction."
