As businessmen, the men of the Family are intrigued about the war. Post-Prohibition finances have been shaky and uncertain. Things are not thriving as they were. War can make things scarce, and things can be procured, if you know the right people like they do, for the right price. They can also smuggle people who will want to leave Europe.
