Who is Professor ter Breuggen from The Egyptologist and what is their importance?

Professor ter Breuggen is the chair of the Egyptology department at Harvard. He is also Ralph boss, who he dislikes Ralph immensely, particularly after Ralph writes and publishes his novel on Atum-hadu. Professor Breuggen responds to the book by firing Ralph.
